US President Donald Trump made strong statements about the war with Iran. During the talks with Trump, Trump said in a statement to NBC News that Iran was prepared for ceasefire negotiations, “under the current conditions they were not ready to make.
Trump has said he was not yet keen on a deal with Iran, saying ‘The terms aren’t good enough. The US President implyed that the Washington administration was continuing pressure on Iran and expected better terms in negotiations with Iran, as well as more favorable terms were still being held.
Trump also discussed the US strikes on Kharg Island, one of Iran’s most important energy infrastructure sites, which was hit by U.S. strikes in 1863. Trump said the area “could be hit a few more times” if needed, calling for the US attacks “completely destroyed” much of the island.
Conversely Trump also made a strong statement about Iran’s political leadership. US President, citing sources of information that Iran’s new religious leader may not be alive, said the US president.
