Cryptocurrencies Most Frequently Mentioned on X Revealed for the First Time – Bitcoin and Two Altcoins at the Top

Nikita Bier, X’s Product Leader and Solana ecosystem consultant, shared a graph showing the most searched Cashtags on the platform.

During this time, data covering the period from December 1, 2025 to January 14, 2026, showed that user interest was concentrated in both cryptocurrencies and publicly traded stocks in the US.

According to the shared data, the top 10 most searched cashtags on X are ranked as follows:

In $IREN (IRE LIMITED – Former Iris Energy), $TSLA (Tesla),$ASTS (AST SpaceMobile), ($BTC(BBC) (Bitcoin), $1XRP (XPR), £GME (GameStop), $0.NBIS (Nebius Group – formerly Yandex), $5ETH (ETHERum) and $ONDS (“Ondas Holdings”) are all examples of what is considered to be the most important .

Notably, it is noteworthy that companies primarily focused on cryptocurrency mining, satellite communications and artificial intelligence infrastructure are becoming the most prominent players in their field.

Also four days ago, Bier announced that he is developing an ‘Smart Cashtag’ program for the company. This allows users to specify exactly what asset or smart contract they are referring to when sharing a Cashtag with this new feature? Those who tap on the Cashtag in their timeline will be able to view real-time price information and all posts related to the asset within one screen.
