Deus X Capital’s Tim Grant wants real talk only when he’s speaking to others in the crypto industry.
Deus X is a family office-backed investment and operating company that seeks to unlock value across capital markets, fintech and digital assets in order to help create ‘fairr, more accessible financial system’.
The founder of Deus X, led by CEO Grant, was founded with around $1 billion in assets and operates globally at offices in London, Malta and the UAE. grant at CoinDesk’s Consensent Hong Kong conference in February 2026, when he will speak at the Conensus Hong China meeting of Grant.
The company invests capital through private equity, venture capital, Venture building and fund allocation, support and build innovative companies from trading infrastructure and broker-as-an-service platforms to digital asset ventures.
He said, “I saw a powerful new toolset and the opportunity to address those inefficiencies in ‘an effective manner of doing so with less cost than traditional finance but by adding it.’ Grant told his crypto entry that he was entering into Crypton without replacing traditional financials; not by using more transparency.”
His career is very early; he has no knowledge of bitcoin BTC$88,110. His venture portfolio is growing, he said, with each company targeting specific problems but mostly working together to compound growth and share infrastructure through businesses such as Deus X Pay, Cor Prime and Solstice.
Consensus is about substance rather than spectacle, he said for Grant, and given his wide portfolio of investments and companies, the companies are always operating across the spectrum — as capital provider and investor in their own ventures.
I’m interested in working with institutions, regulators and builders that work on the use of digital finance in production — particularly regulated payments, “treasury,” tokeniz-ation, prime services and institutional DeFi.”
