Dennehy’s cry is clear: For Bitcoin education to really flourish, alternative, unbiased models must be built to protect critical thinking from the covert clutches of influence.

What has evolved now into a giant is just a simple 2021 experiment-my First Bitcoin. We have created a movement-in the trenches by the gallon, with tens of thousands as a witness. Our curriculum is assertive and has undergone revised changes based on feedback from students, so the urgency of each concept is felt.
Picture a high-school graduation ceremony in which a mere Bitcoin diploma is issued instead of the much-coveted generic diploma. That is what happened in 2022 in El Salvador when My First Bitcoin provided radical financial literacy to 38 young students. The kids forgo text books that gather dust and instead went for it with a condensed ten-lesson course on Bitcoin. They analyzed various monetary systems, pointed out the weaknesses of fiat currency, and cracked the mysteries of monetary history. They dealt with wallets, undertook the journey through the Bitcoin network, and defeated the double-spend dragon. Not a single area of securing their digital belongings was left unexplored, including knowing who the miners were behind this revolution. They ended up even gazing into the future to see what is possible with Bitcoin through the Lightning Network. The final project was an opportunity they seized to show that they were not just hodlers but true Bitcoin believers.
