According to Ripple and Nodal Clear, clients who use Riple Prime now have access to the full suite of Coinbase Derivatives futures contracts through NoDal clear’s clearing infrastructure.
The integrating also allows institutional traders on Ripple Prime to sell controlled crypto futures listed in Coinbase Derivative (including Nano Bitcoin, nano Ether contracts), and Futures tied with Solana or the so-called “XRP”.
Ripple Prime (the original broker) is the prime brokerage platform created after Ripperle acquired futures commission merchant Hidden Road Partners CIV US LLC to allow access to derivatives products. The platform provides multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services for institutional clients.
The partnership bolsters the platform’s exchange connectivity and provides clients with more future trading opportunities through regulated infrastructure, said Ripple Prime president Noel Kimmel.
This arrangement also describes Ripple as a clearing member of Nodal Clear, which allows its institutional clients to access Coinbase Derivatives contracts through the clearinghouse.
The deal also enables institutional access to regulated crypto futures markets while providing liquidity and round-the-clock trading within a CFTC governed framework, said Coinbase’s head of US future exchange Boris Ilyevsky.
A clearing member of Ripple allows its clients to access the full range of Coinbase Derivatives contracts efficiently while extending trading opportunities through the clearing network, Nodal Clear chief executive Paul Cusenza said.
