The latest news comes from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Commission(CFTC) at this stage.

Accordingly, the SEC and CFTC are preparing to hold a joint event next Tuesday.

Official statements say the SEC and CFTC will hold a joint public meeting to review the regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies.

In a statement, the SEC said that SCE Chairman Paul Atkins and CFTC Chairman Michael Selig will co-host an event at their headquarters in Washington, D.C. C (paraphrasing) C on 28th September, .

A joint statement by SEC Chair Atkins and CFTC Chair Selig stated ‘Market participants have been forced to navigate regulatory limits that are narrow, in practice and inconsistent in design, which is solely the silo structure of existing legal jurisdictions. It’s going to advance our wider harmonization efforts to ensure that innovation is rooted in American soil, within U.S. laws and in the service of Americans investors, consumers, and economic leaders.” – ’.

This is said to be a meeting about how to work in line with President Donald Trump’s plans for making the US capital of cryptocurrency and to develop crypto-friendly US policies.

This event underscores the regulatory bodies’ commitment to advancing the country’s position in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency space.
