Dario Amodei, anthropic CEO who will be entering the West Wing on Friday for a meeting with White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, could prove to have been at its turning point in the company’s conflict with the Pentagon over its advanced AI systems, Axios reported.
The Trump administration is weighing the significance of Anthropic’s Claude model, Mythos, a new frontier AI model focused on cybersecurity.

The new model demonstrates the ability to detect zero-day vulnerabilities across major operating systems and browsers. At a Wall Street Journal event, the Treasury Secretary said Mythos was ‘step function change in abilities’ and an emergency meeting with Wall street CEOs followed by ‘an briefing including Vice President Vance and Elon Musk on AI-related cyber risks of myriad.
Friday’s meeting is Amodei’s second high-stakes encounter with a senior Trump administration official this year.
